The Dominica Connection

Rocket and Clem grew up together in Dominica. With Rock singing and keeping the bass line, Clem is free to tear it up Dominica Style, and man, that is what he does. Clem seems to have been born with a guitar in his hands, and his jazz background will amaze your senses. Clem will make the hairs on your neck get up and stand up.

When you hear Rocket for the first time, you may have to strain a little to make sure that it's not the Father of Reggae himself, the Honorable Robert Nesta. Rock has played with the likes of : The Rolling Stones, Carly Simon, Sugar Minott, Bruce Springsteen and many others. Sunday is fun night at the Wild Hare and Rocket invites up the local talent for impromptu songs and jams. Rocket was born to entertain people and is fortunate enough to do that for a living.

All the way from Ethiopia

Rafael and Asrat were born and raised in Ethiopia, Reggae's 2nd birthplace. These two, along with several of their friends started Dallol, which toured with INXS and Ziggy Marley internationally for about 5 years. After the band split up, 3 bands were formed: Gizzae, Baaro, and Zeleke, all who are doing very well on the reggae scene.

Rafael, the drummer, is currently playing keyboards, which he taught himself after Melaku left the band to tour in his homeland, Ethiopia. Asrat, who has played percussion for the last 5 years, now is the drummer and has kept the beat going for the last 2 years. They also manage and own the Wild Hare Club in Chicago. Rafael also did almost all of the artwork at the Wild Hare and designs the CD covers for Gizzae and Sam Ghansah.
